Two Piece Machine Vice

Our innovation in work holding can clamping 175 to 235mm circular dies upto 10 inch jaw width, 80 mm jaw height , designed to hold bigger size forging dies on vmc . Versatility of clamping vise on the vmc with t slot pitch of 80mm and also on bigger vmc with t slot pitch of 100 mm. Heavy duty design, single piece machined from solid alloy steel block All new unique design to allow higher clamping force on the job for vibration free machining and increase in tool life .

Further with open vice design virtually many comibination type of clamping can be achieved to clamp larged and bigger size workpieces.

Workholding in Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) involves devices and methods to secure a workpiece during machining. Effective workholding is crucial for achieving precision, repeatability, and quality in manufacturing processes, especially when machining hard, circular workpieces.

V-blocks provide four points of contact, which holds the workpiece more steadily than just two points.

Proper workholding ensures the machine can operate at its full potential, producing quality parts consistently. Improper workholding can lead to the workpiece being pushed out of position or flexing due to inadequate support.

  • T-slot pitch refers to the distance between the centers of adjacent T-slots on the machine’s table. This design feature is essential for several reasons: Versatility in Workholding: T-slots allow for the attachment of various fixtures, clamps, and tooling setups. The pitch determines how closely these attachments can be spaced, which affects the types of workpieces that can be accommodated .
  • Load Distribution: The pitch also influences how weight is distributed across the machining table. A well-designed T-slot system with appropriate pitch ensures that heavy workpieces are supported adequately, minimizing deflection and maintaining accuracy during machining operations.
  • Orcan heavy duty double block vice could be installed on T slot pitch of 80mm as well as 100mm.

Forging dies are typically made from high-quality tool steels such as S7, H11, or H13. These materials are chosen for their durability and ability to withstand the extreme pressures encountered during the forging process. For example, S7 is noted for its toughness and shock resistance, making it suitable for various forging applications.

A weak clamp in a machine vice creates multiple issues that can compromise machining quality, accuracy, and safety. Ensuring that the vice is properly tightened and maintained is crucial for effective machining operations. No any external clamp require for installing the vice on the machine bed, heavy duty inbuilt clamps are available.

Alloy steel provides numerous benefits that enhance product durability and performance. Its durability and longevity reduce the need for frequent repairs, which lowers long-term maintenance costs.

Despite its enhanced properties, alloy steel is often more cost-effective than specialized materials like titanium or composites. Its versatility delivers the desired performance at a lower cost than more expensive materials, making it practical for workholding applications.

Our design innvoation starts with listening & understanding our client’s needs, their machine specifications, work piece dimensions, workpices variations.

Then we do brainstorming to outline the product charecterstics which would meet all the demands of stake holders. be it our design department or the machine operators.

Product Durability, Reliability & ease of use being corneterstone of what we do.
